Writing...
I wrote a bit more this week. I've been working on my original/uber story. I've had this story on my hard drive for several years. In the past few years I think I've written maybe 6 pages.
I really like writing - no really I do lol - but only when I'm in the mood. If I'm not then I could stare at the monitor for hours and not write one word. So, I never force myself like I've heard some writers do. "Just write one word, one sentence" Nah. I do it for fun, forcing myself to write is not fun.
I had to get some visualizations too. I don't know why I never thought of that before. I found pictures of my "leading ladies" (and yes they resemble 2 certain gals we know and love) and printed them up and stuck them on my monitor. I was amazed at how much that helped. Plus I looked up different things like the type of car, motorcycle, home, etc. So I have something to look at.
Do others do that? I know writers do research but to actually have a visual in front of you as you write?Well, worked for me anyway. And hey I am now up to a whole 20 pages! :)
I know I'll get asked to post what I have written, but I don't know if I want to do that. I did that with Phantasia and that story STILL isn't finished. But hey it was only started in 1998!
